Every wish your heart desires will come true

Recently I was able to go to Disney World which was pretty awesome, except not being 8 years old anymore there isn't a whole lot of things I grew up with there anymore. Sure there are all the princesses like Cinderella, Snow White, and Belle, but when I was younger those were just movies that you watched once and a while. Now there are shows on Disney like Sofia the First, that bring all the princesses in a lot more often. So when you go to Disney and get to see something, or someone, that you used to love, or even still do, its pretty amazing.
I got the chance to meet some of my favorite characters. Who thought they would still have the Hundred Acre Woods in town? I got to meet not only Winnie the Pooh, but Tigger too. Even though every one of the characters is just someone getting to play the part, its still pretty amazing to meet them all.
There are so many characters to meet everywhere you go at Disney. There is the 13 princesses, Jasmine, Belle, Rapunzel, Arura, Snow White, Cinderella, Ariel, Tiana, Elsa, Anna, Merida, Mulan, and Pocahontas, and you can meet them all. Its not even just the princesses, just so many characters to meet just usually not too much time to see it all. It honestly is a place that I would say the dreams do come true. Its not everyday that you get to eat breakfast in 'Hollywood' with some princesses and pirates. When going through Epcot to meet characters you even get to sort of go through different countries where they are all from. You can even experience a few food from each of the countries. I got to travel to France and eat a chocolate crepe. Not only do you get to experience all of that but you also get to meet some people who are actually from that country. Disney hires people from all over the world to work for them and its amazing the people you meet, even just people visiting.
So whether the characters you meet are Disney princesses or if they are just someone visiting or someone just helping out, they are all just so friendly. No one can get tired of being called princess everyday. No one can have a bad time in the magical place where dreams come true.

Coloring

I would say that a lot of people believe that flamingos are pink because well, they just are. Actually there is a lot more to that. As you can see not all flamingos are pink. The reason that almost all flamingos are pink is because of their diets When you think about it a lot of animals aren't all the same color, just like how not all roses are red. Now with almost any animal you can change their color just based off of what they eat. Flamingos get their bright colors from the blue-green algae and the shrimp that they eat. The algae has carotenoids (groups of pigments often found in plants) that effect the color of the birds feathers, this make complete sense when you think of all of the pink flowers in nature, its all the same type of pigments.
Most animals get their colors from the foods that they eat. Animals really don't have a use for photosynthesis, so they don't have any carotenoids either. The carotenoids are taken in and processed through the animals liver to change and spit out different colors to effect the animals appearance completely.
This is actually a pretty cool thing in nature when you think about it. Almost anything can change color just based on its diet and the different carotenoids it consumes. Maybe we could have all different colors of flamingos instead of just pink, perhaps blue, green, maybe even purple. Any color all depends on the carotenoids going through the body.
Since carotenoids are pigments found in all sorts of plants, it really shows all of the different carotenoids there are. Just think of all the different naturally occurring colors there are. There are flowers of all shades, blue, pink, red, white, yellow, purple, and orange. All different colors that can determine the color of something else, just by consumption. Science really works in wondrous ways when you think about it, just a tiny switch and something can be unlike its norm. Any little change in something can change a whole think to be almost unrecognizable as what it actually is. Would you really recognize a brown flamingo if there wasn't any others around it?
Next time you see a flamingo or any other colorful animal, just think of how differently they could look, just from a few changes. Maybe we will see blue flamingos someday, honestly a pink flamingo is good enough but anything goes right?

Museum worthy I swear

I am sure at some point in time we have all felt like great artists. We did everything the best of the best and no way we could do worse. Then one day, after putting down our pencils and brushes for a long while, we pick them back up. You say you just really want to do something, create something amazing. Sometimes you even go out and buy brand new supplies because it has to be perfect.
So you get home, new charcoal pencils in hand. You get out some brand new, clean white paper, and you sit for like 7 hours just trying to figure what the hell you should draw. Looking at all sorts of websites to get some sort of idea because you really need something great, something to make up for the lost time not doing any sort of art. Finally after the hours of searching for an idea, not even an exaggeration this is after at least 2 hours, you find the idea. A majestic ferocious beast. Something so great that it would come to life at every full moon, kinda.
A wolf, not exactly a werewolf but same difference I suppose. For me I started this masterpiece about 2 hours before I actually figured out what to draw. I sketched it all out, started darkening the lines. Eraser marks everywhere, making every line the exact way it needed to be. Shading in some areas, making some lighter, others a little darker. Finally, finished, all finished at last. It really only took like a total of 4 hours no more but still finally finished. Its a piece of shit. Really it is. All that work for a piece of crap but you might as well make the most of it right? Maybe just make it look even more and more interesting. Add some speech bubbles here, add one little splash of color there. Maybe even draw in a little bit extra to give it more pzazz.
Finally. After all this work. After all the rework. You have a great masterpiece of somewhat beauty and somewhat sarcasm. It all works though. After all it is art right? I always say if you can see it it must be art. Have you seen some of the things in museum? They look like a five year old drew it at free time during their regular kindergarten day. How on earth can some scribbles be worth a few million and your beautiful shit masterpiece only a few cents? As long as you see it as something of true beauty in the end rather than just crumbling it up and throwing it away it will always be worth it in the end.  Someone in the word will appreciate your art, even if its only you, its still someone. So there you go, after all the work a piece of shit came to view but its just as great as you imagined, just a different sort of concept.

Good read

If you have ever read a good book, it is hard to put it down. It is hard to ever think that something could be just as good or even better. The words just wrap around you in a kind of warm blanket sort of way. A good book keeps you interested, keeps you reading for hours, hearing the people go on and on about the issue at stake. You become someone in their little world that they know. You learn to see how each place looks, how each person looks, even know their personality. Be a part of every little adventure they go on, follow every trail. Then you hear that your favorite book is going to be made into a play, a musical, a movie. It is honestly really exciting but at the same time you have so many questions. Who is going to be the lead role? When is it coming out? Will they actually follow the book? What if they leave out a huge part? It can be stressful all up until the movie finally comes out. Everything you had been waiting for. You know the people in the movie, you’ve seen the trailers, but now you get to see if it is going to live up to the book. The theater is always packed the first week the movie comes out. Everyone has been waiting just like you, they have to see what they have been waiting for. The movie either ends up being a huge flop or a great success. Sometimes the movie gets completely off on a tangent of something that either wasn’t in the book or it just skipped over a lot of important little details. Or maybe it even just didn’t include some of the characters, it ignored some of the characters little quirks, either way it is not what you wanted at all with the movie. The movie ended up being the biggest mistake, either there should have been a different director or it just should have never been maybe into a movie at all. On the other hand sometimes it ends up a big success. It had every character, every little quirk and detail. They even got the colors exactly how you imagined it. Nothing could even top the movie, except for one thing. The great warm words that spoke to you first, in the book.

Live long and prosper

We go throughout life living the way we want and all hoping nothing out of the ordinary will happen. We even don’t think that it will happen to even anyone we know. Everything will be completely normal till the end of your lives. Sometimes, something does end up happening though, your life might not even be normal anymore. Maybe there was an accident, maybe someone passed away, or maybe someone was diagnosed with an illness. Anything that happens it doesn’t seem real or you don’t know what to do. Then again, you move on, you keep on living. Maybe even live everyday as your last because honestly, who knows maybe it will be. As long as you carry on and forget about the problems that happened, the worst thing you can do to yourself is continue to think about the issue. Hopefully everyone can carry on but remember those who couldn’t any longer, even though they lived everything to their fullest.

Listen closely

October is always the best time for scary movies, mostly because of Halloween. Also the time for scary movies because it is always dark and cold out. Scary movies are great, not easy for everyone to handle, but always great. One of the reasons movies can be so scary is that they usually don’t have sound effects. Usually when something is about to happen in a movie there is some music leading up to it or some weird sounds. When you have those you are ready and expecting something to happen making it less scary. When you don’t have those sounds to cue you in on what is about to happen, you tend to be quite startled and maybe even terrified. A lot of times scary movies even say that they are based off of a true story, making it even worse. Being something that actually happened makes you think, this is going to happen to me now isn’t it, making you on edge for the rest of the night usually. The thing I always enjoy about scary movies is that most of the time there is around 3 other movies with the same story line and it is great because you already know the story you just don’t know exactly what is going to happen exactly and it can make it even better. It is actually pretty terrifying especially with the CGI that they can do to make things look even worse than they really are. Now some people really don’t get effected much by scary movies and it is just so weird. Maybe they have experienced a lot in their life or maybe they really just don’t care, who knows really. The only problem with scary movies, at least for me, is that once you watch a movie you know where all the scary parts are and you will look for them and be prepared for everything that is going to happen. Or if you are really scared of these movies always the best thing in so watch the entire movie through a scarf. I have no clue why but when it is just a bit blurry and makes the entire movie a whole lot less scary. Next time you go and watch a scary movie pay attention to the fact that there is nothing at all going on. It all really does seem like a documentary so who knows, maybe it really all is based off of a true story.

Seasonal work

Tis the season for seasonal things, so many things, even flavors and smells have seasons. Honestly I do enjoy some of them a lot it just makes me sad how you can only have them at certain times of the year. Pumpkin spice, peppermint, and shamrock stuff, its all great. Sometimes though people get a little too obsessed with them and always getting the new thing. There’s cookies, coffee, shakes, ice cream, you name it and its probably made in that seasons flavor. I have to admit that pumpkin spice cookies are pretty great but when it comes to other seasonal flavors you can so easily get them any time of the year. Just when it has that name for the season or the holiday it just makes it more expensive. It is like how mothers and father’s day is just a Hallmark holiday, invented to keep people happy and businesses booming. The seasonal flavors are just another money making thing but I suppose that’s okay. At least they taste great and there is always an unlimited supply of amazing.
